BeefDip Bear Week is one of the most attended and longest running leather & bear events in the world. It is held in Puerto Vallarta every year between the last weekend of January and the first weekend of February.
All the club parties, all the leather nights at STUDS, the booze cruise and all the pool parties are included with your tag.
Your tag also grants you discounts discounts at the restaurants and stores. Show your own dog tag so the discount can be applied, and please tell your hosts if a discount is not applied by any of our community partners.
The physical Dog Tags are not sent to you. You will be sent an email with an electronic ticket with your information and a QR code attached to it. Once in Puerto Vallarta you need to go to our welcome center located at the Lobby of the Blue Chairs Hotel and redeem your Tag with that QR code.
The BeefDip Bear Week Welcome Center is located next to the lobby at the Blue chairs Resort.

By the end of BeefDip Bear Week 2023 we were notified that Mantamar, Almar Resort and The Top decided to not work with us anymore. We respect their decision and wish them well.
Yes, you can buy several Dog Tags but you need to enter the names of each Tag Holder and each one of then needs to retrieve their own Dog Tag in person at our welcome center.
Yes, you can pay at the door of each event. Just have in mind that once a venue is close to reaching capacity the access will be limited to tag holders only.
BeefDip currently works with SETAC, a non profit organization dedicated to educate and distribute information about HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI) on Jalisco’s coast and the Bay of Banderas; and Vallata Food Bank, a charity dedicated to bring food to people in need in the community of Puerto Vallarta. In the past our events have also benefited R.S.I.E Orphanage and Vallarta Food Bank.
A Free Shuttle Service will be provided between Lazaro Cardenas Park and Azul Turquesa Real Experiences hotel on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. First bus will leave Zona romantica at 10:45, and the last bus back from Azul Turquesa will leave the resort at 6:25 pm. Additionally, you’ll be able to take a cab from the hotel, and the city bus coming from Mismaloya to Downtown Puerto Vallarta also stops across the street from Azul Turquesa every 20 minutes or so. This last option is of course slower, but way more affordable than the taxi if you’re on a budget. Check back soon for the full schedule on the free shuttle!
All sales are final. Dog Tags are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Smile! Your image may appear on our online galleries, our official after movie and some LGBTQ+ press coverage. Also be sure to ask kindly if you want to show off your fabulous outfit for the camera! We’d gladly take your picture of video.
Yes. Be sure to get a cellphone holder for the pool and foam parties. Although many newer phones may be water-proof, these holders will come in handy to carry your cash or cards for the day.
Dresscodes are never enforced at BeefDip Bear Week, however we do encourage you to be free, be out there, bring your best outfits and show them all off!
This year’s themes are:
Monday: Disco, 70’s, 80’s & Retro Extravaganza!
Tuesday: Anything Red and/or Orange.
Wednesday: Anything White and/or Silver.
Thursday: Hats, Head pieces or fascinators.
Friday: Military, camo.
Saturday: Black, leather, fetish.
Sunday: Underwear, jockstraps, singlets!

Puerto Vallarta is a very welcoming city for all the LGBTQ+ community, but have in mind that it is still a city with families and people with a diverse background, use common sense and be respectful of this beautiful community. Also clothes check are available at our club nights and pool parties. A “fanny-pack” or small purse is also recommended to carry out cash, mobile and cards.
The Booze Cruise is included with your dog tag at no additional cost! You don’t need to sign up or register. If you’re a tag holder your spot for the booze cruise is guaranteed. And while we’re at it, your dramamine is also included. Take it while you’re in line to board.
For your own safety and to give you the swiftest boarding experience possible, we board the booze cruise ships using small boats or “pangas” that hold 20 people each. You may be separated from your group in this phase but most likely you’ll end up boarding the same boat.
Booze and snacks aboard the boat are included, as well as your lunch at the beach restaurant. But remember to bring cash for drinks on the beach restaurant, or souvenirs and tips for your servers.
The color bracelets indicate which group/boat/restaurant you are assigned. For your own safety, be aware of the color/boat you are on and please, don’t switch boats. It is important that you get your meal from your assigned restaurant at the beach.
The area where BeefDip events take place is relatively small. You can easily get around the venues and host hotels by Taxi, Uber and many of our beef dippers get around walking. You may want to have in mind that there might be a few steep hills around the Zona Romantica, plan accordingly.
